Mark and I just read that Gu Lang Yu is applying for UNESCO’s World Heritage site. For those of you who don't know where Gu Lang Yu is, it's an island off of Xiamen, about an eight minute ferry ride. It's rich in history as well and has some of the nicest scenery here in Xiamen. We're both excited since we love Gu Lang Yu with all its beautiful, elegant buildings. Granted, many are crumbling, but you can still see how ornate and grand they once were. Ah, the stories they could tell, if they could only speak. You can read more here.
