Life at the Xiamen market

I'm expanding on Mark's post from yesterday.

We met some friends for brunch yesterday at the Sofitel, something we kept saying we were going to do but kept putting it off for one reason or another. It was a lovely brunch and Mark was a hit with all the people under the age of 7.

Later that day we were invited for dinner at Jose and Edlin's. The best part about living here in Xiamen is that the largest local market is about a 5 minute walk from our place and on the way to Jose and Edlin's place. Some of our best sights in China have been us walking through the alleyways as Mark mentioned. Some cases we cannot capture what we see as it happens very quickly, other times we just want to capture what we see walking through the market and the alleyways. We thought we would give you a glimpse of what life in China is like for some people.

Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them.

OK, I am jealous now! Those photos with your new lens are GREAT! And these street scenes are so much what China is to me!
Have fun,
Christine
