It's cold and rainy in Xiamen this week - not at all comfortable. The inside of all our windows are covered with moisture...
It's a not so toasty 14C (57F) and pushing 98% humidity....
Yeah, that's living in comfort. Our little heater has decided that it isn't up to the task of warming the place up. We can only wait it out and hope that this cold and rainy spell breaks soon.

Hi there- I've been following and enjoying your blog for the last few weeks. My family and I are considering a two year move to Xiamen sometime in the next year- you're giving me a chance to see a bit of what it might be like for us. My son, who is nine years old, was adopted from Xiamen about 18 months ago, plus I have three daughters from Guangdong. Looking forward to immersing ourselves in Xiamen. Thanks for the insights!
Wow. We have a balmy dry 55 F sunny day today in New England. We are loving it as we watch the snow go away.

Lynn - We think that you would love Xiamen, it's a great place to live with really friendly people. The cold is the only problem we have, and it's really not that bad. I would suggest that you try and find an apartment that has heat even though they will tell you that you don't need it - it's better then wearing your jacket while inside...
