China International Garden & Flower Expo

Yesterday we went over to the 6th China International Garden & Flower Expo, which is in Xiamen and set to run from September 2007 through April 2008.

It was a large park, and set up really well for walking and just enjoying the scenery. A lot of it is still under construction, and we didn't see anyplace where they were showing off flowers. The only exhibition type building was locked up and looked empty, but we no longer question the way these things work.

The weather was nice, so we had a good time. Getting back was also odd. There was no set place to catch taxis or a bus, you just cross a highway and stand on the side of the road. When you see your bus number you wave it down like a taxi and run after it....
